Is this part available from any source? I want the upgraded fuel inlet, but not a full rebuild.

I'm sure it's available somewhere

May have to go down the rabbit hole in some fuel fittings supply catalog somewhere.

I'm in Europe and sending the carburettors to the US is not cost effective.

I bought these:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007QTZ3NM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

They're the exact same pieces Tim uses - he's rebuilt several sets of Type 3 carbs for me.

I have a spare set if someone wants to buy the set I have. I can ship way faster than Amazon right now Laughing

Thanks for the link. I didn't know Amazon carried them, as I don't spend a lot of time on their site (I end up spending too much money when I do).

Edit: I wonder if they'll fit Weber ICT carbs, as I've had that issue more than on Solex carbs.

There may be variations out there - the ones pictured in ataraxia's photos are different than the ones Tim put on my carbs. Mine are brass-colored like the original and have like 3 barbs on them instead of just one.

I guess one could just ask Tim where he sources them. Very Happy

Perhaps he changed what he uses. He built three sets for me, all using the same fittings, over three years...probably three or four years ago.

1/4" nipples sounds way too large for a factory hose. Question Exclamation

Here's a better view of the fittings he used in my carbs in 2019.

These fit the metric 5mm cloth-braided fuel hose perfectly.

EDGE INDUSTRIAL 1/4" Hose ID to 1/16" Male NPT MNPT Straight Brass Fitting Fuel/AIR/Water/Oil/Gas/WOG

This one looked promising, but what is the outside diameter of 1/16 NPT?

"PLEASE NOTE, 1/16" NPT MEASURES 0.313" OUTSIDE THREAD DIAMETER IN LINEAR INCHES "

0.313 * 25.4 = 7.95 mm

I wonder how to turn them without the hex part?

18 euro each is hilariously overpriced for a functional part no one will notice.
