I think there are 3 clips. Basically one at each end, and one in the middle (with the fender bolts). I had to go look in my gallery for pics of the clips, so I could count them. I hope this helps.

Thanks Bob, I think the tabs go on like my photo and just bend up and around the metal tube?
I will keep plugging away at the notch, little bit at a time till it's back on the road. Been 25 years in my custody hiding out in the attic, off the road since the 80's at least. |

Yeah, I think the clip kind of wraps around the tube. It's been a while since I've had to do anything with them.
