Going to paint my ‘73 westy in two tones. White top and orange bottom. Does anyone mind sharing pictures of where the paint split in door jams and so? To my knowledge it’s white inside the car but split to the lower color somewhere in the door jams. I’m interested in seeing where they split in the from door jams, sliding door jam and in the rear. Best regards
Very Happy [/b]

Always at the belt line, unless only the roof will be white then none of the jam will be orange.

i think the op wants to know how far the bottom colour extends into the interior at the door jams, are the jams painted with the exterior colour, where to draw the line between colours at the jams.

To the first bend, say 1/2". Factory was not always a straight line, depends on whether it was taped before or after the beer lunch.

From what I recall, the orange paint extends as far inside the door & hatch apertures as limits of the panel joints or to where the rubber-mouldings make a seal.

It's all posted with pictures, diagrams and measurements, including year to year changes in one or more of those threads I linked the search to, I'm just too lazy to go through them all and find it. Wink
