|
|
Hi everyone; I'm looking for a replacement rod for my master cylinder push rod out of my notchback:
As you can see it's seen better days. The damage is on the sides of the rod, I'm guessing which was caused by the missing clip that keeps it from walking side to side where it attaches to the brake pedal. If I'm on the wrong track, please let me know.
I've searched everywhere for a replacement and the closest I can find is this for a 50-57 Bug:
Could you guys let me know if this will work? I'd really appreciate any info you can give me. If it's not the right one, do you know where I can get one? |

What problem are you trying to solve? Just because it's scratched up a little, doesn't mean it won't work. _________________ Joe P.

As long as the hole and push ends are still good, yeah. No one sees it down there.
If you really think you need a different one... you don't need a new one. Look at the Classifieds here. Actually, look up sellers of rebuilt pedal clusters, they probably have tubs of pushrods lying around.
Oh, and when talking about specific parts, it's good idea to list what year you have. _________________ Andy T.

I'd probably file the scratches out of it and use it. Unless you're trying to change the length (went with a dual circuit master cylinder). I'd look in the classifieds for one. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof
