Just wanted to say thanks to those who put the time in to keep this site up and running, as well as those who participate adn share the centuries of accumulated knowledge to help us all keep these machines in our lives. I get more joy out of this vehicle than any other vehicle I've owned.
My saga began a few years ago when I flew out to Albuquerque from RI to buy my tintop sight unseen and attempted to drive it back to RI with no practical knowledge of VWs or Vanagons. I found the van on TheSamba and immediately leaned on the resourceful and helpful folks here when I encountered some issues just outside new Independence, KS.
Once I got the van home and running (after a uhaul truck and trailer rental) I continue to come to TheSamba as my primary source for repair, improvements, inspiration, and source info.
So a big thanks to everyone in the community. Thanks for spreading the joy!
