We have 205/70/15 Yokohama Geolandar tyres on ours - they've been great, coping with all sorts of surfaces and road conditions with aplomb. _________________ Jim Crowther

In this case, the stickies are your friend. Tires discussed ad nauseum there… _________________ “Most everyone’s mad here. You may have noticed I am not quite all there myself.” — Cheshire Cat, Adventures of Alice in Wonderland

I've got the Geolander GO15's with Mercedes wheels. I have a friend who upgraded his van to them too. They're great! Solid driving experience for me. I think I have around 6K miles on them so far, and they ride well on asphalt, concrete, or gravel/dirt roads.
I keep mine with a PSI of 39 front, 45 rear. _________________ 1986 Volkswagen Vanagon Westfalia "Von Westy"

Reading all the info on these threads is fairly confusing. I decided to just make it simple and get the 15x7 alloy from GoWesty, since they say they go right on. I wanted to go with 205’s but it seems a 7” wheel is too big.
Anyone putting 205’s on a 7” wheel or should I be going with 215’s? |

My van came with these https://gowesty.com/products/15-7-inch-alloy-wheel-hardware-set .
It's currently sporting 205/65R15C Cooper Discoverer HT3 tires, which replaced 205/65R15C Continental Vanco4's. _________________ ~Kamz

Cool. That’s what I bought. I have the Vanco’s, Discoverer, Nokian cLine and CrossClimate on my list. Just need to narrow it down.
Thanks for the info. |

I’ve got over 20,000 miles on the Michelin Agilis Cross Climate 205/65R 15C tires and they’ve been fantastic on all surfaces. I have them on GoWesty 15” wheels. I’d buy them again. _________________ ‘85 Adventurewagen - FAS GenV inline VW 4 cylinder

That’s great to hear. I don’t think I can get our current Michelin Defender tires anymore, so those Michelins look like our next tire when we wear out the Defender tires in that same size that you have. _________________ '68 Westy- my first VW and vehicle/Bus- long gone.- sold it to a traveling Swiss couple....

I off road me Van, I like the stock steel wheels for durability and ability for repair if dented, and I have taller than stock tires on them. _________________ Sorry About That Chief.
