Both my bulb holders 63 ghia have no contacts for the bulb contacts to sit against. Previous owner had soldered wires directly to the two bulb contact (dual filament ). Cant see how the wires were connected to the bulb holder. Is that connection piece I can find. ?Any ideas ?

I don't know of any reproductions available any more. I had to make my own. I used and modified the copper contacts from a type 3 front signal base. I also used the spring from the type 3 base. I had to make the spade terminals from 1/4" brass stock and I bought the brass rivets. If you need more information let me know.

Hahaha! Those are mine for sale. Not cheap, but I went through them and replaced a few broken mounting studs and installed my rebuilt terminals . They are ready to bolt on and go with all good threads. I think every other set for sale in the classifieds has broken mounting studs and or broken lens ring screws, and broken or missing terminals. It’s hard to find a pair of bulb holders that don’t need work and often it’s hard to tell because other sellers don’t post good images of the mounting studs and holes for the lens ring screws. Unfortunately, you don’t usually notice these things in the ad until you purchase them and try to install them. |

lot of work and expense for something nobody will see. I know, you'll know, BUT I see no problem with soldering on the wires. They added some quick disconnects, nice touch.
had a '66 Impala that had 6 tail lights. Sockets were bad, replacement cost soldered wires to the bulbs and used wire nuts to connect them. _________________ Daily driver: '69 Baja owned 45 yrs - Plan B: '72 Ghia
