Hello,

Put the entire washer system together outside the car including the wiper switch. Filled the bottle with water and push the button and it works. Installed it all back into the car and now, no air is getting into the bottle.

Is there something missing from the inside of the bottle? See pic.

Second pic shows the tooth that is supposed to get pressed down when screwed into the bottle. Even pressing it with a large flat screwdriver blade nothing.

Thank you in advance.

Talking out of my rear end here but I remember reading on another thread that you need something like 40psi in the spare tire for the washer to work. The valve is designed to not work below 25-27 psi so your spare won’t go flat. I also remember that it’s a fine line as the switch doesn’t handle a bunch of pressure and the squirters will dribble if there is too much pressure.

Thank you, Jeffery. I put 35psi in the tire and it worked outside the car and checked it in the car and bumped it to 36psi. No air is getting into the bottle. I am thinking there may be a pc missing but, have no idea. Rolling Eyes

There are some notes on the Samba about the Helphos Wash bottle system.

https://www.thesamba.com/vw/archives/manuals/helphos_washer_bottle_german.php

Not sure if that is much of a guide for you in German, but the text has been translated.

I read in the owners manual, 35psi and just saw another person's post that said 42psi. I'll try the 42 this weekend.
