folks,
referring to the circuit diagram here: https://www.thesamba.com/vw/archives/manuals/1978westymanual/1978_Westfalia_Repair_Manual.pdf
I'm trying to determine factory connection of the point B. I have a terminal connection hanging off with an inline fuse (photo below). Logically it could go anywhere there is 12V, on the incoming connections to the fuses, assuming that the sink can be operated with the engine off, and since it has its own fuse, it doens't need to be in series with the ones in the fuse box (can bypass). Anyways, question is where was it connected at factory? Also it seems like the AUX battery would have been more suitable to power the sink, any idea why the car battery was chosen?
thx

All those crimp butt connectors Shocked , under dash air conditioning by any chance?

I too puzzle at the reasoning behind the power from the front, maybe it's so you can wash up even if you failed to fix the house battery system on the side of the road?
