I'm sure they're nothing special, what I'm after is being sure what the bolt pattern is. I measure it at 112mm and I see that 5x112 is a fairly common size. I also see these particular rims have an extra set of holes, maybe it'll help id them, I don't know. Anyway, these are currently on a buggy and we want to buy wheels and tires for it and I'd like to get the wheel size right the first time. Thanks!

The common bolt patterns for aftermarket rims that have two bolt patterns with one of them being 5x112 are:
5x112 & 5x100
5x112 & 5x114.3
5x112 is used for VW, Audi, Mercedes, and some BMW. The rims in your pic look to have the large centre bore (67mm) so they were after market rims targeting Air Cooled VWs or older Mercedes.
If you check the back of the rim it should have the two patterns stamped in as well as the offset and size. _________________ *******************************

It looks like there are wheel adaptors behind those rims. Do yourself a favor and either buy rims that fit the stock drums or put drums on that have the bolt pattern to match your rims.
My experience with adaptors (not legal in some jurisdictions) is that you will be chasing wheel balance issues for ever due to a stack up of tolerances. _________________ Our cars get old, we get old but driving an old VW never gets old! |
