Fellas,
been around bugs all my life but i'm new to the type 3 world. I have a 73' squareback and i noticed there is no provisions for mounting a stereo? How are you guys installing a stereo? Also gauges?

Under the dash lip in the center. From 71-73 there was a radio bracket with plastic surround just for the type 3. The steel bracket was just a "U" shaped bracket to hold the radio. I hope this helps.

The bracket screws into the bottom lip of the dash edge, then the radio slides into the bracket. The bracket is sized for a "DIN-spec" radio.

I made this in Blender and 3D printed it. It's not a full DIN stereo, it's just a bluetooth receiver thing. If you want I could dig up the file and send it to you, or print you one off if you'd pay shipping.
