|
|
Hey everyone!
So my ignition switch has been feeling like it’s going to go for awhile now. I finally decided to begin replacing it and when I started taking the old one out I noticed that this little pin/screw was missing.
Is this necessary to have when I reassemble it? If so, is it worth finding an older housing with that piece and popping it into my housing unit or is it fine without it. This picture isn’t of my exact housing and switch but a picture of one with the screw.
Thank you for any input.

That thread mentions it is M3X.5
Did they mean M3x5 or is it really that tiny? _________________ Craig K

You can purchase that set screw. I have a few in stock. Otherwise you can use just about any m3x5 screw even if it sticks out _________________ Lead Mechanic: San Diego Air and Space Museum

I guess you meant .5 mm per thread.
.5 threads per mm would be a M3x2 screw.
Metric screw thread designations are not very consistent in common use, sometimes the second number indicates thread pitch, and sometimes the length of the screw shank. _________________ '67 bug: seized by the authorities
