February 11, 2009	� Installed a few new zerk fittings. � Greased pedals
February 10, 2009	� Installed new front shocks. � Finished installation of left rear lever shock. � Removed right rear lever shock, cleaned up, changed jack oil, and reinstalled. � Greased e-brake cables. � Cleaned new tires and wheels of all dirt and grease, broke one hubcap clip off, dang. � Greased front end, noticed one zerk fitting is missing and replaced by a bolt. Found another one that is stripped too.
February 6, 2009	� Picked up some new shock spring and star washers from the hardware store.
February 4, 2009	� Re-installed driver's rear lever shock. � Removed passenger side lever shocks plates and swapped them to the driver's side (they were reversed side to side), noticed passenger lever shock might be working. � Removed front shocks, noticed they were incorrect.  Located NOS front shocks in my collection of parts.  NOS shocks in grey below:
February 2, 2009	� Original lever shock still frozen. � Changed oil in replacement lever shocks, installed new top screw sealing washers.
February 1, 2009	� Changed original lever shock fill to Kroil instead of 30wt. oil to see if that will loosen it up. � Disassembled and looked at another used lever shock I had for comparison.
January 31, 2009	� Removed trim rings, got new tires mounted � Removed driver's side lever shock.  It's empty and not working.  Filled with oil to see if it comes back to life. � Received Frese Barndoor-style mirror and clamp
January 30, 2009	� Received license plate bracket, tweaked it a little to fit my '54 license plate and installed. � Removed wheels and tires, replaced 4 missing hubcap clips on 3 wheels.
January 29, 2009	� Received new tires from Coker.
January 28, 2009	� Cleaned up master cylinder to see where it's seeping from - reservoir seal? � Installed new shifter boot on shifter base. � Received 1954 plate.
January 26, 2009	� Ordered new Firestone 5.50x16 tires and tubes from Coker Tire. � Located and cleaned up another shift plate. � Cleaned up shifter and parts.
January 25, 2009	� Left the sunroof open to see if it will "break in" and fold up better. � Removed shifter to see why reverse lock-out doesn't work, found some serious wear on the lock-out plate. � Located a Barndoor Frese side mirror and clamp in the Samba classifieds.
January 24, 2009	� Scored a 1954 AZ license plate on eBay � Cruising around Into the sun Dash 14 mph
January 20, 2009	� Replaced carburetor top seal. � Replaced fuel pump to carburetor metal line. � Replaced 009 with 010 distributor, set timing. � Cleaned up fuel pump metal intake line. � Replaced fuel hose from fuel tap to fuel pump intake line. � Adjusted choke and gas pedal connections at carburetor. � Misc. engine compartment cleaning. � Cleaned and hand-polished rear bumper trim in place. � Replaced a couple clips on a single piece of vent trim after they broke off trying to polish one in place.
January 19, 2009	� Installed rebuilt Solex 28 PCI carburetor to replace strange Solex 32 PCI carburetor: � Noted top seal of new 28 PCI is leaking as well as the metal intake line connection, will have to replace both. � Installed strap top air cleaner.
January 18, 2009	� Purchased reproduction speedometer/clock seals and shifter boot, along with some other misc. parts for my other Bus. � Located a rebuilt 28 PCI carburetor at Buses by the Bridge 2009. � Located a 1955 Oregon plate.
January 15, 2009	� Original clips done soaking in Evapo-Rust solution, they came out nice. � Polished front bumper trim (in place).
January 14, 2009	� Cleaned up cargo door and decklid handle while looking for key codes. � Cleaned up center brake light a bit more to improve license light ground. � Installed new license light bulb. � Replaced damaged chrome front emblem with a nicer one I had, including new emblem post seals. � Dug up some original emblem clips and set them soaking in Evapo-Rust solution. � Stripped flat black cover off front seat backrest to uncover original upholstery... unfortunately it's Commercial black and not Deluxe.
January 13, 2009	� Installed new headlight to body seals. � Cleaned and regreased front door handles. � Installed new front door handle springs and seals. � Greased decklid striker. � Played with sunroof adjustment a little more.
January 11, 2009	� Outside today after a cruise around town: � Installed reflectors. � Lubricated sunroof, tried to get it to open and close a bit smoother.  Bows need adjustment? � Greased both front and cargo door strikers.  Adjusted driver's front door striker, it was loose and out of adjustment.  Doors close nice now.
January 9, 2009	� Got a little history and a 1970/80s ownership lead from a previous owner. � Worked on cleaning up a separate broken center brake light assembly as a test before I clean up my used one installed below a bit further to brighten the license light. � Ordered some parts from Wolfsburg West - door handle springs, headlight to body seals, and a few light bulbs.
January 8, 2009	� Installed replacement center brakelight with new seals, cleaned all connections. � Removed tail lights, cleaned all parts, tightened passenger side tail light lens mounting points inside chrome ring, and reinstalled with new body seals. � Cleaned battery tray area of baking soda from previous owner, correct clamp mounting piece shape. � Installed new decklid prop. � Glued in new deck lid bottom seal. � Installed replacement driver's door handle spring (used), cleaned and regreased door handle.
January 6-7, 2009	� Purchased some Evapo-Rust, set the center brake light hardware in it to clean it up (sort of a test).
January 4, 2009	� Dug through some of my parts  looking for a clean early brake light assembly I think I have...
January 3, 2009	� Disassembled and removed brake light assembly � Compared parts against original brake light assembly on my '54 Truck, found some of the missing parts in extra box of hardware that came with the Bus. � Cleaned up threads for brake light keeper plates and screws, test fit NOS brake light lens seal � Ordered reproduction decklid prop
January 2, 2009	� Assembled tool kit, installed tool kit and Vigot jack under front seat. � Drilled and tapped slider latch keeper, fixed.  Test fit on spare slide glass I had with new rubber seals.
January 1, 2009	� Fixed rear interior light bulb #2 operation. � Played around with disassembling  an extra barndoor slider latch before I disassemble my real ones. The stud broke.
