Genuine German Special Service tool. Peiseler Part Number VW 262 tool/device for Checking Steering Arm. For the Collector/Owner/Mechanic. Includes wooden box with part number. Box is peeling some paint on outside and lamination lifting some on bottom-inside is very nice. Images show brownish spots on box and on tool. This is from the sponge like material for tool to rest on, which has deteriorated and crumbled/gone away-some of it has mixed in with the preservative grease on the tool. Tool preserved by and from dealership with light grease. This tool came from the going away auction of Roy Bridges multi dealership in Birmingham, Alabama around 1991.
