RJE Throwout bearing release sleeve adapter Price: $75 shipped USA
Clutch release throwout bearing sleeve adapter. Lets you put a late style T/O bearing in a early bug transaxle. My style has holes drilled on the side of the adapter sleeve so if the seal ever needs to be replaced the sleeve can be removed. I also added the drain hole just like the factory guide sleeve. I made a puller ( pictured) that gos in to the 2 holes in the side of the adapter sleeve so the bolts on the puller will go into the sleeve and you use the end of the main shaft to pull the sleeve & seal out with the bolt at the end of the puller if you ever need to replace the seal ( puller not included) . For the $75 price you don't get anything but the sleeve and seal! You will need the transmission cross shaft VW P/N 113 141 701 E from Trans T-1 & 3 8/70- - 10/71 The kit I sell comes with the sleeve and seal. The sleeve must be test fit to the T/O brg before you install it in the transaxle. The OD of the sleeve may need to be polished for some T/O brgs. The sleeve has 3 holes two that are inline the other is to go down just like the stock sleeve on the late transaxles. I use some silcone sealer on the grooves it the end of the sleeve before I install the sleeve. For $75 shipped. The seal is $15 shipped if you needed a replacement.
