Curated Tool Lists to do the job RIGHT!

My father, Ken Skiba, owner of Buggyworld, has been wrenching on VW's since the early 70's. I remember the lesson of checking clients carbs for the gas smell, if the inlets in the carbs were loose, checking the hoses to see if they were brittle or not, etc. Sometimes finding a good quality hose clamp is better than finding one at pick-a-part or a China made one at an auto parts house.

You could go check on your hoses right now as you read this..... go on, go check them out, smell around your carbs, check your gas lines, look underneath the car where it connects to the fuel line to the chassis. If it is hard, brittle or doesn't have a hose clamp on it, it's time for some maintenance.

No you could go to one of your local auto parts houses and get some new fuel lines, clamps and fuel filters. Already better than you were. Or you can get your self some Finished Lines.

Finished Lines are a series of stainless steel hard lines and fittings to join dual carbs together and route them cleanly inside the engine compartment. Each connection is hydraulic, so if you flare them correctly and tighten them nicely, the fuel smell, the fire danger, the doubt in the bottom of your stomach is all but gone.

I see your head bobbing up and down.... I get it. I was stoked when I decided this industry above all other needed this the most.

Fits all air cooled VW's including the Beetle, Super Beetle, Ghia, Type 3, Bus, Thing and Fridolin.

The kit comes pre-bent with stainless steel .375" tubing that can be cut to length to fit your application. This will do all the fuel lines needed in the engine bay that is not running a stock fuel pump application. You will need a soft line from the back of the tin union to the chassis fuel line outlet. Please check out the under the deck lid category here for it. The kit comes with everything you see in the picture.
