After Market Style Safari Dash Tab 55-57 NEW Repro Price: $116
|
NEW never before available , correct style early (55-57) safari dash tabs TO FIT WITH AFTERMARKET SAFARI KITS. To my knowledge there are no other available dash tabs on the market that mimic originals for 55-57 known as "flat top"
These are made from polished stainless steel. While originals were chromed steel, you won't have to worry about these ever rusting out and you can also polish them more if desired.
This newly available tab set Is custom made slightly shorter than original 55-57 "flat top" tabs in order to use with your after market safaris(wolfgang,busboys,etc.) Due to their use of non original lock latches, which tend to be on the bulky side(larger than originals) You are stuck using what they supply, the "dish cut" style tabs. If you have a 55-57 bus with after market safaris and want to keep the correct look as best you can, these tabs would be more aesthetically correct for youre bus.
There is another "flat top" tab out there but if you are critical and detail oriented as I tend to be, youll notice in my last photo a "inlay" of the lesser detailed tab along side an original and my own reproduction. Youll notice the "bump" in the other repop tab is very pronounced and nothing like an original.
Please keep in mind that polishing was done before forming the tabs so it should be expected to see some light imperfections in the surface. Not likely to be very noticeable once installed.
These are made with holes that are identical to originals . If you have original safari holes in your dash these will bolt right in.
You get 2 tall(outer) tabs and 2 short(inner) tabs.
