Fits Porsche 930 style Cv joints (108mm x 40mm thick), does NOT suit 32mm thick Cv joints like found on original Syncro16" or some similar size108mm Audi/VW cv joints. Disclaimer: silicone is a durable but fragile material: if you intend on driving through thorny bushes, they will get torn .

So far I have seen/heard of only 2 failures on Vanagons, one Syncro repeatedly breaking them so I decided to remove them from sales for some time as I couldn't find out why from the pictures sent to me.
Well I put them myself to the ultimate test finally on my own Syncro: front inner and back. Drove from California to Costa Rica via Baja and did some bad ass off-road in every condition: sand, mud, volcano sand/ash, rivers, fields, rocky trails. They are still looking like brand new.
So if they fail, it's user related at this point. I can't tell how or why remotely, but as such, I won't offer free replacement anymore.
By buying them you accept this risk. To me, they've proven themselves on the trip I made.
