Front disc brake conversion kits for your Stock drum brake spindle or with Kustom1 2.5 inch dropped VW Volkswagen spindles with 4 piston Wilwood calipers, slotted, drilled, and anodized rotors. This is a disc brake kit that uses stock drum spindles or dropped 2.5 inch lowered spindles for king and link pin or ball joint Standard Beetle 1947-1977 and Karmann Ghia (not Super Beetle). Get rid of those dinosaur front drum brakes and upgrade to the stopping power of disc brakes. Disc brakes have superior braking power over drums and since 70% of your braking is the front, the difference becomes night and day. This kit will convert your front drum brakes to disc brakes. It includes 2 new slotted, drilled and anodized brake rotors, 2 new Wilwood 4 piston calipers with pads, 2 new (optional) dropped spindles with bolt on wilwood caliper adapter brackets, 4 wheel bearings, 2 elring grease seals and caliper mounting hardware. Some (1966- to mid 1968) cars require 2 late model tie rod ends (when using dropped spindles) with 19mm tie rod end nuts instead of 17mm. There is no accommodations for backing plate when dropped spindles are used. Optional patterns are 4 on 130 VW Volkswagen, 5 on 130 Porsche, 5 on 4 3/4 Chevy, 4 on 4 1/2 Ford and blank (not drilled) wheel lug bolt patterns.
