We are very proud to offer our AVW line of all new, all USA Designed, Sourced and Made Narrowed beams for your type 1 bug and Ghia 1949-1965. Forget what you have come to accept as quality for a narrowed VW beam, because we threw all of that out the window to create the new Standard of the industry in narrowed beams.
We start out with USA made DOM Mild Steel. Our brackets are all CNC cut for a perfect fit and finish. Our beams are fixture TIG welded on a custom fixture table to ensure trueness and straightness. We use USA made for us, Delrin bushings that are machined to exact specs for a snug fit to both the beam tube and the trailing arm. This equates to zero deflection under compression which allows the suspension to do its job without having to deal with movement it wasn't designed for. Our adjusters are USA Made for us and have no equal in the industry. We bypassed the typical slide style adjusters that are common place in the market and instead went with a much more accurate design. We use deep toothed adjusters that allow for precise height adjustment and precision clamping when tightened. This gives you accurate and repeatable adjustments for any height. Our uprights are fully formed to roll under the beam just like factory, only better.
We use brand new, made for us, torsion leaves that are narrowed in a fixture and machine dimpled for a better than factory dimple. These leaves have a higher spring rate than the factory leaves and therefore provide a much better ride. No shocks are needed with our beams, the ride is solid and smooth without the need for additional dampening.
We include USA Made DOM thick wall tubing tie rods and brand new tie rod ends with every beam. Each beam and tie rod set come fully powder coated in Matte Black for a show quality finish. This is a fully engineered, fully bolt in front suspension solution for lowering your bug the proper way with the highest quality parts you can buy. Our beams look different from everything else out there because to do it right, we scrapped what was acceptable and started from scratch to build the New Standard. We offer both 4 inch and 6 inch narrowed versions for your car.
