I was lucky enough to be at Kelly Park for VW show way back in the 1990s and met Joe Vittone creator of the original EMPI. I quickly grabbed my EMPI GTV steering wheel and asked him to sign it for me. This was way before e Pay and digital photos! I am selling this wheel to fund the purchase of SO34 camper parts for my westy restoration. This was my personal wheel in my bug for many years, which i no longer own. Wheel was professionally clear coated with automotive clear coat to protect the wood, and at some point i replaced the original hub with an NOS one I found. Horn Button and trim ring are in near mint condition as well. Comes with the original EMPI steering wheel box and the actual photos of Joe signing the wheel with a much younger me in the photos. Price includes postage worldwide insured.
