30mm Solex PCI carburetor Formula Vee cheater Price: $79 shipped 48

Extensively modified Solex 28 PCI carburetor from a local Formula Vee builders stash of parts.
This carburetor is used and untested. Was in a lot of PCI carburetor cores, but a closer inspection revealed a number of significant modifications, including:
- 30mm throttle butterfly
- Throat bored/enlarged to 30mm all the way up - no venturi.
- Emulsion tube holder supports profiled.
- Port feeding the main jet holder from the fuel bowl enlarged.
- Venturi set screw hole and vacuum port plugged.
- Later style throttle lever welded on, fabricated stop.
- Choke shaft removed, holes plugged, carb top throat thinned, smoothed and enlarged to match 30mm carb bore.
- Fuel bowl vent pinched tighter (still open)
- Choke cable threaded boss ground off.
There may be more, but that's what is most obvious. It appears much of this work was done by hand and by today's standards it may be considered crude.
Please note without the venturi the low rpm performance and street "manners" of this carburetor will most likely not be friendly. This was more likely built for running wide open and making max power.
Main jet measures 1.50 (marked 1.35), 25 emulsion tube, 1.90 main air correction, .50 idle jet and .80 idle air correction.
Again this is a used carburetor and it will at the minimum need rebuilt. Both M8x1.25 mounting studs are stripped and will need repaired as well.
Includes aluminum velocity stack with clamp, approximately 3" tall and 3" diameter at the top.
