Type 3 Front Seat Adjuster Cams - these replace the Original VW Cams with Part numbers 311 881 166 A (Right Side Cam) & 311 881 165 A (Left Side Cam) - refer last picture #6 & #7. These replacement cams can not be ordered as a single cam ..... they are only available as a pair/set for 1 seat.
THESE SEAT ADJUSTER CAMS WORK - BILLET BLING ON YOUR SEAT(S) ...... CNC 6061 Aluminium - check out the linked Samba thread on these. Quality is as good as you'd get with fit and function tested on my Type 3 Fastback and that of others who have sung their praises after buying and fitting.
After not being able to adjust the backrest on my drivers seat I found this thread - https://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=487722&start=160 (further information and links to reference these cams on Page 8) ..... I contacted nilza (Nils) and he agreed to work on replicating these seat adjuster cams at my request and so we updated this old thread with some interest - any questions may be best posted in this thread or PM/email nilza or myself.
The plastic protype of a "right" cam which was 3D printed in plastic worked fine when I tested it on an old seat with an original left cam.
Some pictures attached of the modelling done - CNC'ing will be a more solid/filled in cam as time on the mill costs $$$ and to save cost to any buyers.
Price is USD130.00 per seat (1 right & 1 left cam) + USD30 delivery (additional sets may incur extra delivery cost so please check).
