These parts are 100% new, 100% made in the USA. I make all the flaps for all the years. My flaps fit VW and aftermarket fan shrouds.
My parts are laser cut for proper fit.
My parts are fixture assembled to make sure they fit and work correctly.
I compared all the flaps VW has made, German, Brazil, and Mexico, there are differences. I took the best features of each and put them together in 1 set of parts.
I have also made improvements.
The number one problem with thermostat flaps is that when you try to remove them, the bolts are rusted to the flaps, and you end up busting off the screws, then you got to drill them out and retap them. What a pain! That will never happen with my flaps. Why? Because the threads are aluminum, yep, the bolts can rust all they want, you can still get the flaps off without busting off a screw!
There are three early internal oil cooler kits, depending on year, if you dont care about your year, pick the kit you like best.
All hardware is 100% new, including exclusive stainless steel tension spring.
This kit uses the 68 horizontal cross bar, held on with springy clips. The passenger side flap has an extra bar on the generator side to connect to a bowden tube that runs a wire up to a flap on the stock air cleaner. bowden tube includes special clamp to mount down at the flap.
