Price listed is for the CB Camshaft AND a SET OF 8 LIFTERS of a brand that CB recommends to match their cam.
Eagle Racing Type 1 Camshaft, 2231 Grind (Cheater Fuel Efficient Series), 1.1 or 1.25 Rockers, CB2231 has specs of .313" Cam Lift, .344" Valve Lift (1.1 Rockers), 260 degrees of advertised duration, and 207 degrees of duration at .050", on a 107 Lobe Center.
This cam is great for MPG engines with stock or mild carburetion, keeping the lift mild for less friction. It is true you are giving up a little bit of WOT performance, but a cam like this will help you squeeze every last MPG out of every drop of fuel!
This is a good cam grind to use for stock carburetors, or for MPG engines, even with dual Weber IDFs or Dellorto DRLAs.
This cam works great with stock heads, but it's performance is much better with some porting, and especially if larger valves are used. Expect a power band from idle to 4500 RPMs
You can get by with stock valve springs, or HD Single Valve springs and Bolt On Rocker Shafts. Use a compression ratio no higher than 8.5:1.
You can use 1.25 rocker with this cam, if you use HD Springs.
