i make these hoover bits - oil cooler sealing frame, this is for folks running the wider type iv / porsche 914 oil cooler on a bug engine. you still have to modify the shroud to fit around the wider oil cooler, but this take care of the bottom. This is #1 most over looked and forgotten part on a vw engine rebuild, these are laser cut, production bent, i add a second piece of metal at the corner for strength, also add a second of metal to properly seal for the longer length. the threaded insert is aluminum, so it will never rust to the screw.
dont lose air out the bottom of your engine!
