1986 Syncro, Triple locked, Ej22 Swap   Price: 44900
This is one of the most sorted Syncros out there and I absolutely love it but I'm playing around with the idea of a new build so I'm testing the waters with this thing.

This van has been essentially completely restored besides the factory paint with all new parts and rebuilds. I bought it with 97k miles a little over a year ago and am the 4th owner. The entire underside was taken apart, raptor lined, Wool waxed in common problem areas then rebuilt with all new control arms, bushings, bearings, suspension and steering rack. The trans and front diff where also just rebuilt by rancho trans axle along with adding a front diff lock, center decoupler/visco removal so it's a true locked 4x4 and a new taller 4th gear for the bigger tires and Porsche 944 rear axles. Fox 2.0 remote res long travel suspension was added along with the center piece, an ultra reliable first gen Subaru ej22 swap that is now at 100k miles. timing job was just done. Well known for going 300k+ miles and being much better than the EJ25 plus it gives the van a nice power boost to 130hp so you can cruise at 75mph all day and 65mph up mountain passes while averaging 21mpg on the highway and 15 in the city. A big brake kit was also installed to handle the added power and increase saftey. On the exterior the van has rocky mountain westy steel front and rear bumpers with full size spare tire swing out and highlift jack mount on the front. New window, door handle and door seals were also installed.

For the interior I personally did it and I'm not a professional van builder so it's definitely DIY but it looks nice and is very functional. I also very intentionally used factory holes for mounting and Didn't drill into the van at all besides a half inch hole in the floor for the sink drain, four small holes for rivnuts where there wasn't any other option and a 4X5" hole in the engine bay for the diesel heater. Wanted to keep my interior build completely removable if I or the next owner ever wanted to do something more professional. It has 400 watts of solar on the roof connected to a 2000wh battery bank, 500w alternator charging and 2400W inverter all controlled by bluetooth. I never have to worry about power. I also installed a 2kw diesel heater that has kept the van nice and warm in 9 degrees which is also done by the havlock wool insulation installed in all the panels and roof along with sound dampening matts. A maxxair fan was also installed and runs off the 12v system alongside a 32q fridge.

This van is incredibly clean as it was garage kept with low miles almost all it's life so there's no rust besides some basic surface rust on the outside that recently started and I haven't addressed incase the next owner want's to tackle it in a different way than I do. I know I'm missing some other work done but in the next week I'm refreshing the 944 axles and getting a new windshield installed. New Sweptco diff fluid was also just put in. This thing is completely ready for full time van life or a weekend getaway van for years to come. Let me know if you have any questions and thank you for reading my ad! Happy Vanagoning! This thing is hard to price since there's very few vans out there with this mileage and in this condition so let's get in touch and talk about it. Images are very annoying to upload on this site as all of mine are way too big so check out the facebook ad - https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1608559893305680/
