These were stock on '66-'67 buses. They can easily retrofit onto '55-'65 buses. They greatly improve your handling in corners and cross-winds. This adds 3-5mph to your cornering speeds where you feel safe. You will notice the difference after you install this. I recently installed one in under 5 minutes.
