It took a while longer than expected to finish this part as there are so many details to be taken into consideration (and reproduced in the right way!) that you probably wouldn't believe it: specific supports for dash pod supporting bolts, glovebox straps, glovebox straps upper brackets, column support bracket, wire tabs…
Both glovebox straps are included.
We have all seen some hand made reproductions of these rare dashes in the market during the years. None of them have been made the right way. There is absolutely no way you can achieve the right curvature in every inch of the dash without make a big (massive!) stamping die. Our Split Dash stamping die weights over half a ton. Do it right or go home!
You can use our dashes to save your hacked original Split Beetle or transform a later car into a Split Window.
We made our Split Beetle Dashboard using a pristine original counter piece for comparison at every stage of the development process. Every single inch of our part is a perfect mirror of the original part.
These are made out of 1mm thickness sheet metal exactly like they came from the factory.
