1976 Porsche 911 3.0. Turbo (US) with Euro engine Price: 149911
|
50 years of the Turbo - the next big Porsche anniversary. The 1975 model year saw the launch of a particularly powerful version of the Porsche 911 thanks to exhaust gas turbocharging: the 911 Turbo. Since its market launch in MY 1975, the 911 Turbo (initially also referred to internally as the 930) has been the top model in the 911 series. The 930 had widely flared rear wings, which gave it a width increase of 12 cm. Black foils were fitted in front of the rear wheel arches to protect against stone chips. On the boot lid was a striking rear wing with a wide black border made of hard rubber.
This beautiful Turbo was manufactured for the USA, but a few years ago it was fitted with an original German Turbo unit from the same year of manufacture. It was completely repainted in its original colour of mint blue metallic, the interior was professionally reupholstered and it was fitted with a set of matt gold Maxilite rims (the original rims are also present).
In short, a technically good original turbo with the flat rump of its generation in a great colour combination. Thanks to a high-quality sports exhaust system with a dry, throaty sound, it is a worthy representative of the first turbo generation.
