'91 VW Vanagon Westfalia Price: 18500
|
...or best offer. After a dozen years and 50K miles, adventures from Mexico to Canada, we are ready (sort of) to pass the "Good Dog" on to new owners. This van has served us well through many epic adventures, and we pass it along with mixed feelings.
This classic Westy is very clean and well maintained. 2.1L original engine. For the most part it has all the original parts in great condition… with minor modifications. No engine repairs needed. No rust!
The tent was replaced in 2023 with a new Gowesty three-screen tent kit. Somewhere along the line we lost one of the original hubcaps. Interior is in great condition…all original upholstery with no rips or tears. Kitchen and cabinets have no dings or damage. The 2 burner stove works perfectly, the original fridge works on elecricity (we happily use the fridge as a pantry and carry a large premium ice chest). Two tables..the large swing out next to the closet, and the smaller front-mount. Original curtains including the VW snap on screens for rear hatch and sliding door. OEM air conditioning works. Also includes levelers, BusDepot rear hatch shelter tent, Bently official factory repair manual, radio and USB port for connecting devices.
We are happy to share stories and first hand knowledge as every Westy has its own personality. ‘91 is the last year they made the Vanagon, and by far the best! (The "Good Dog" was so named because whenever we rattle the car keys, it's ready to go!) We have a folder of receipts for almost everything listed below.
