Hello friends
Here we have a 1976 Mexican Spec Volkswagen Kombi. People like to spell it Combi as well.
Out at the back there is a 1600 cc 4 cylinder engine. This engine continued until the 1987 model year when the water cooled 1.8L Golf engine was used.
This is, of course, a 4 speed manual.
This is a passenger model although a lot of the panel truck cargo model were produced.
The interior has been customized with a side mounted bench seat as well as a rear bench for 2 people.
Hidden right behind the front bench seat is a television hidden behind a panel so you don't know it is there when not in use.
The front features a white vinyl split bench with a center arm rest with 2 cup holders. Yes this VW van has cup holders.
As with any new to you vehicle you should buy new tires so you know how long they will last. it isn't worth the gamble driving on used tires.
The odometer reads 85,000 kilometers. In miles that would be 52,816. Even if it has turned over once it would still only be about 115,000 miles. Keep in mind this is a 49 year old vehicle.
We all know rust is the enemy of these vans. That is not an issue here at all. The city where this van lives is not near the ocean nor does it get snow hence no rust.
If you look at the sold prices of these vans of this era you will see what a bargain this is.
Here is the break down on the cost of the vehicle. The vehicle itself will be $11,300 dollars. Transport from where it is to the Nogales Arizona border $1,200 dollars for a total of $12,500 . This price includes transport from Central Mexico to the border at Nogales. We are paying almost $6.00 US per gallon of gasoline or diesel.
Lately the exchange rate has been all over the place so please ask for an up to date price.
If you have any questions about the importation process, I will be happy to answer them.
* We Can Now Offer US Delivery * - What this means is we can cross the car and you as the buyer would need to pick it up in Nogales Arizona or arrange transport to your location.
I know the thought of buying from Mexico makes people nervous.
I can provide references from my previous clients if necessary.
