rebuilt 36hp turnkey complete engine April 1957 Price: 4500.00 exch
|
I have had this core for over 25 years, I had bought 4 36hp engines that had a claim of low mileage, the last year I finally started going thru them. This one is stamped factory rebuilt, all of them looked crusty due to a coating of shop grime and dirt, this one turned over and upon disassembly found it most likely had less than 5 k on it with a single burnt exhaust valve, bore is standard and in great shape, no case corrosion at all, put a nos set of std .010 mains and .010 rod bearings, rebuilt the carb, distributor and a new diaphragm in the fuel pump and she runs like a champ, the muffle is a bit thin and had two small cracks around the top of the tail pipe tips that got welded up but I would still plan on a muffler down the road, the breast plate is not pictured but is included and the thermostat is installed and the ring is properly adjusted, full core credit would need to be as complete as this one and the case serviceable, not concerned about some internals but missing key parts would be a deduction $5200.00 outright (flywheel is resurfaced but no clutch is included) prefer localpickup but I can secure it on a pallet if you want to have it shipped
