This really is a rare ‘OMG’ moment.
A rock-solid Swedish Beetle in Ruby Red (L456) with a very probable original mileage of just 58,672 kilometres. The so-called Dickholmer with the classic smaller windows, the completely flat windscreen and the thick pillars.
New this year (1960) are the narrow indicators on the front wings, but still the small snowflake tail lights (single-chamber lights), beautifully set off against the patina paintwork. The single-chamber lights come on for a) lighting, b) braking and c) flashing at 6V!!!
No rust, not even in the notorious places. Neat interior and again, really nice patina, and no, not another word for worn, on the contrary. The doors close well, the engine runs perfectly and shifts as it should. These examples have become extremely rare, even in Scandinavia. A very convincing Beetle with only plus points and a quirky headliner.
Selling a ‘Time Capsule’ - completely unmodified and original delivered to SWEDEN and then made its way via Belgium and Holland back to Germany.
Yes - it has dents and irregular paint colours and textures, but I don't really care, because you won't find anything like it anywhere - at least not in EUROPE!!! Anyone can restore and paint it thickly...
