The steering lock mechanism was previously removed intentionally. but the assembly still functions normally
All it needs is a new ignition switch which is readily available. There is no damage and the key works. Not having a steering lock is a good thing if you lose the key. Two photos show the engagement pin for the switch. The missing steeering lock has no effect on the function of the switch or key lock.
