Cal Look 1963 Bug Price: $5250

This was intended to be my last and best project build. But due to health issues I have to let it go. It’s an extremely solid and straight original paint 1963 hardtop bug it is currently registered to me in California and non opped. Has both original black plates one of which has been professionally restored. The intentions of this car were to be a very traditional cal look custom car hence the car has been totally dechromed. Shaved turn signals, and Lucas turn signals in place of the horn grilled, filled rear apron, complete heater delete. The defroster vents on the dash have been filled the chrome trim on the dash has been filled. And the bumper overrider holes have been filled. All the welding has been done. Now it just needs bodywork and paint. original pan is been completely repaired with Wolfsburg West pan halves. Gene Berg transaxle mid mounts, and a new mid mount is included. A new 5/16 inch fuel line, reinforced clutch cable tube and the shifter mount has been moved. 3 inches back. Also every sharp edge and corner of the pan has been smoothed off. It has a CB performance 2” narrowed beam, stock spindles with new king and link pins. New chrome tie rods and ends, and also, a chrome pitman arm. The trans is a good original 63 stock transmission with new boots, and mounts. There is no engine. It has new brakes, and comes with a new ATE dual master cylinder. New chrome wheels. I have all the glass and a West Coast Metric cal look rubber kit. all of the hardware is original and has been zinc plated. I have an original back seat. Also included are many new basic parts you’ll need to assemble it. For an additional cost, I can include a polished set of Fast fab T bars, a full set of NOS VDO series one gauges, and an original VDO black face trip meter speedometer that has been restored by Orange Empire speedometer. An Autometer sport comp tach and Vintage Speed dash tach mount. A pair of new CB Performance dropped spindle for 4 lug disc brakes. A set of new EMPI poly low back bucket seats. An NOS swf turn signal switch. And a new LeCarra 3 spoke steering wheel. And a few other things. Here are links to the forum threads on the build.
