1972 Volkswagen bus transporter deluxe Price: 9500

Very original bus, one of the most original I've seen, and loaded with hard to find parts.
I got the bus in 2017 and went through all mechanicals, and it runs and drives excellent.
Deluxe emblem is in good condition. I have the front grill which needs paint to go with the bus. Wheels are date matched and I refinished about a year or so ago with Wurth wheel silver and clear coat and are holding up well. New Brazillian OEM tail light housing and lenses. Turn signal switch is NOS 1972 one year only.
The wiring harness is excellent in this bus, very unmolested when I got it and the few "modifications" I went through and corrected. I put in an Audiocontrol BT1 bluetooth receiver which goes to an Infinity Kappa 2 amp (100w x 2 channel) into Infinity Kappa 6 inch speakers that are in the door panels. The amp is mounted in a custom bracket under the dash and the whole stereo I installed without making any non-factory holes in the bus.... besides the door panels which were cut for 6 inch speakers when I got it. I have a set of uncut original door panels if you want to go back to an original look/alternate speaker setup.
The bus brakes very well, as I completely went through the system with Bus Depot rebuilt calipers, new german wheel cylinders in the back, new brake booster, German master cylinder, and new soft lines.
Also I replaced the wheel bearings all around with German FAG and SKS.
I went through the fuel tank (muriatic acid) and it's very clean and repainted it. Fuel lines are ethanol resistant 30R9 3/8" throughout, with ABA hose clamps. I have the original 72-only Solex carb and oil bath air cleaner setup (extra if you want it) but it's currently running with Dual Dellorto drla 40's (Euro spec with vacuum ports) on CSP intake manifolds, CSP breather box, K&N air filters in CB Performance housings, bell crank Carrera Parts stainless steel carb linkage, Carter rotary fuel pump, Holley regulator. Old stock german Bosch 009 distributor. It has a Butty's Bits throttle linkage and Dakota digital cylinder head temp gauge. The engine is strong, and is a factory "replacement" engine which has both the bus and 914 oil filler bosses drilled. Heads were done by Headflow Masters. The motor is stock, unsplit case with factory cam etc.
Includes the hard to find middle seat and early back seat, front seats are in good condition, all recovered with Sewfine covers. Included is the rare early middle seat side cover panel and almost impossible to find rear seat kick panel (fully intact board, but needs recovering — has original vinyl which would make a good template). Curtains and curtain rods are Westfalia. Rods are modified to mount to deluxe interior without drilling additional holes.
Bus has a salvage title from before I got it, rust under the windshield, a crack in the windshield, and there's just a bit left on the tires. The paint leaves a lot to be desired, but possibly shows better than in photos. I get offers to buy seemingly whenever I drove this bus, though registration expired in February.
I drove this bus daily until about 2 years ago, and I have a lot invested in it financially as well as emotionally, but I'd like to move it on to someone that will give the body the love it needs while hopefully respecting its originality.
