1956 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia is a "lowlight" coupe that was acquired by the seller in 2013 as a disassembled project. This running and driving Karmann Ghia coupe project is now offered in the Portland Oregon Area with a Volkswagen Museum Vehicle Identity Certificate, records and receipts; spare parts and replacement metal, and a clean and clear Arizona title in the seller's name.
The Volkswagen birth certificate lists the factory colors, options, and a build date of June 25, 1956.
There is evidence of past accident damage that was uncovered while prepping the car for paint. There is rust located in the right rocker panel, right front fender, and below the battery tray. Replacement metal is included for all of these areas in the sale of this vehicle. Items left that need to be addressed are: the rebuilt 12-volt converted wiper system needs to be re-installed as well as the rear quarter windows. The suspension and steering have been rebuilt including; the front beam with 2.5" drop spindles (The removed stock spindles are included), King and Link pins, seals and bushings, front and rear shocks, TRW steering box, steering coupler, pitman arm and tie-rods.
