This VW Variant can be shipped in a 20FT sea container. Our handling and taking care of all the documents is included in the total purchase price - we take care of getting the car to the harbor and loaded into a container safely. Also included all documents and export licenses on our side. The container shipping cost is not included. This is different per country and currently rates are going down again. Depending on the destination anywhere between $3000 and $4000.
We have been living in Indonesia for the last 20 years and we are experienced furniture exporters. Hence we know how to get things exported and happy to take care of all that for you. Some of our suppliers have asked us to find buyers for their classic VW. I fall in love with it when I was 6 years old in 1963 and we crossed with a VW Kombi the frozen inland lake Ijsselmeer in Holland from the small town of Harderwijk to Amsterdam - now that lake is gone and the sea/lake is reclaimed into polders. Years later a good friend with a constructing company let me drive his VW Kombi - I found it an unforgettable experience - the sound, the almost horizontal steering wheel, all of it still vividly in my memory! For security the initial 50% deposit will bring the car right up to the stage of shipment preparation. When at this stage, you can contact the shipping company with whom you can confirm that your car has been booked in before depositing the remaining 50% balance. We can also forward this confirmation to you. (this is what we normally do)
Approximately one week after your car has been shipped and is on the high seas, we send you a scanned copy of the shipping documents & delivery details, including: shipping invoice, Bill of Lading/tracking numbers, packing list and all of your cars registration paperwork. In addition you will receive the originals by DHL courier before your car arrives at the destination port.
