I have gathered all the new quality parts to build one excellent 1600cc long block assembly.
This price is based on local pickup. Built by ASE Master Auto Tech, past auto tech
college instructor and VW shop owner for 40 years. Past National IRHA record holder in drag
racing with 1974 VW Beetle. Conditional warranty with detailed instructions and break-in
requirements. 12000 mile/ one year warranty in writing. This engine exceeds the EMPI offer
with more German original NOS parts, installed. One engine only for sale. If you want to pick up
this engine long block at my shop, the price is only $3,694. No core charge and no exchange engine
needed. Case is magnesium from Brazil, new, cleaned and inspected. My shop is located only 35
miles South of Houston, Texas. Easy to find. Requires professional VW auto tech to finish off engine for proper
completion and proper break-in process. Do you have a 1600cc dual port engine in your
Beetle and possible for me to finish up building you a complete engine using your good parts.
Added labor charge is $1,000 and that includes installation in your Beetle and free follow-up
at 200 miles. If you do not have good and/or new external parts, I can supply them at my cost.
No other shop offers this complete, installed engine with a good warranty at my low pricing.
Not installed in any off-road vehicle, dune buggy, Baja

You can find lower priced rebuilt engines which have tons of
used parts and rebuilt heads. I use only new parts and as many made in Germany
as I can find. Please notice if the other complete long blocks have the aluminum case.
Research shows the aluminum cases hold in heat and cause the engine to run hotter.
They also add 40 pounds weight to the car.
