Less then we’re into them now after mount/balance finding wheels in Seattle etc, Brand new as of late July, in garage goes with car for extra, pictures available etc.

Some extra mostly little parts we’ve been shopping for this event season, such as door panels, extra window regulators, chrome headlight rings, extra earlier style steering wheel, small box of little parts. Just found fiberglass baja engine cover “under back window, over engine”, pics available it’s not in these pics.”
Car has been changed to Wide 5 Bolt Pattern with 67 Drums & things for better Vintage Wide 5 Wheel Choices.
This car spent most of its life in Escondido California which is desert off road country.
This has all the cool stuff and looks from being a legitimate 1980’s California Baja Bug.
This car was driven up to Oregon and parked outside by the original owner with the windows half way down for many years.
The Floor pans are rusted and need to be replaced, original or custom floors etc. Only the floors themselves are rusty from this holding rain, the lower body that bolts to floor pans both sides is super nice, clean factory paint and in excellent condition. 1 Hood hinge spring body mount needs to be replaced.
Engine is 1776 last started 4 years ago, it’s now stuck and frozen from sitting outside. Needs to be opened up and find what rusted tight. The oil is good, no metal in drain screen etc. I took the plugs out and put some lube in the cylinders today to help. Smart people would pull motor and take top end apart at the least, replace, clean, rebuild etc.
Brakes need to be redone, took one set of rear pads off that were separating and stopping it from easy movement. Extra window regulators bought at Woodburn bug in, existing ones taken out and soaking in lube. Original key, locking column, off-road lights, 80’s turbo mirrors and all the cool fiberglass body pieces , cages, wheels from the same timeframe.
Car was baja daily driver for 20 years before it was parked here in Oregon, nice and straight not beat to death or twisted.
It’s a good car and a good project to finish. $3800. Is the price and well worth it.
