1959 Karmann Ghia Lowlight Convertible Price: varies

Backstory- I purchased car from 2nd owners (2024) in Oklahoma where it spent most of its life. Car was purchased new In Los Angeles and driven out to Oklahoma, where original owner used it to drive back and forth to his office. Car received a mild restoration in the late 80s, then sat in garage from mid 90s to when I purchased it last year. I have birth certificate. The car did not retain its original motor as to why I did the engine swap. Nothing was modified or cut and can be put back to stock over a weekend.
Clean title in hand, one respray in original color L87, the inside of the car and front trunk still retain it original paint. I have the original keys which work the doors, ignition, glove box and hood lock. Car does not appear to have ever been in accident, Front nose is very nice, as well as rockers, rear pan sections have been patched. Battery tray was replaced and battery relocated under rear seat. All correct lowlight bits are there minus the correct sunvisors. Convertible top is in good working shape, black Canvas but is a little sunfaded. Interior has new black carpet, seats and door panels were redone in the late 80s. All gauges work; clock was replaced with a Tachometer. Boost gauge added to column with motometer mount.
Suspension- Powdercoated 4" narrowed beam, forged 2.5" drop spindles and 2 piston Wilwood brakes up front, 1 inch big bore master cylinder, cross drilled rotors. Rear 2" drop spring plates, rear Wilwood brakes, rear rotors have ARP press in wheel studs, KYB shocks
Drivetrain- Pro street transmission built by Wright gearbox, Powdercoated Rhino case and axle tubes, chromoly race axles. pressed in ARP wheel studs, Rear truss bar, welded mid mount. Wosp Starter. will come with 4.5/deep6 repro detailed fuchs with 135/195/65 firestone tires, Also stock shifter
Engine- 2276cc turbocharged, 82mm forged crank, custom grind cam, Magnum straight cut gears, stage 3 heads 44x37.5, custom build header cerakoted with T3/T4 turbo .48. 40weber DCOE cerakoted. All powdercoated tin, Chico performance stealthanator. MSD 6AL Ultra plus Digital Bluetooth ignition with a 2-step. Carter 14lb fuel pump all plumbed with 6an teflon black braid hose and 6an stainless hardline, aeromotive boost sensitive fuel regulator. Turbosmart wastegate on a 14lb spring. All oil lines are plumbed with 8an black braid hose. Also has SL-1 oil cooler and fan controlled with a thermostat wired to a relay.
Lowlight Verts are extremely hard to find especially in this condition; this is a fun reliable car with power to back it up and no it does not overheat. No lowballers please!
