1962 Single Cab Bonneville Salt Flat racer tribute. One of a kind build starting with solid frame and underpinnings. Prior to restoration the body had light pitting surface rust over some areas which we sanded down, treated and then spot painted with the original Dove Blue, then burnished and top coated with satin protective clear coat to give a nice patina effect that looks totally real. The entire underside and inside treasure chest area was carefully wire brushed, sanded, coated with Osfo, then top coated with Por 15 which has sealed it all in forever. Only repair if you wanted would be to replace front floor boards. Engine is a 1776 with dual carbs and dressed up and was re built just before I purchased the vehicle by a reputable VW shop. This single cab runs very strong and goes faster than you want to go. additional custom items include: safari windows, large tach, Moon racing aluminum hub caps, hand painted vintage art on doors, new Diamond plate style vinyl custom seat upholstery, headliner and door panels, new oak bed slats, good tires, new gas tank, custom roof rack and long list of other new items.
