I picked up this bug in 2017 with the intentions of fully restoring it to stock. I drove it for a few months before the brakes eventually let go. It has been in my garage since. The last time I drove it around the block was about 4 years ago. The motor is strong, 12V conversion and I have a box of new parts that I slowly started accumulating. I am pretty sure I have new floorboard runners as well. It's all original, no cutting, chopping or lowering. When I got it, I changed the oil, fuel, fuel lines, plugs, valve timing, completed the 12V conversion, and that's about as far as I got. I am not in a hurry to sell so I am not looking to give it away, just get back what I got into it. I will work on more photos, but like most projects it's snugged into my garage, there is nothing leaning on it. This would be a great classic restore project, or a good daily driver with an oil change and some brakes.
Located in San Diego, you will need to have it trailered, I also have a towbar for it, but it currently has a stuck rear rotor that I have not messed with yet. Please email me with questions: [email protected]
