1984 Vanagon Mechanichally Refurbished Price: 23,000
|
'84 Vanagon,
70,000 miles. My new title lists as unknown due to a discrepancy from work performed by the previous owner, but I do have a repair receipt from 2020 that shows 65,369
Virtually rust free, low mileage, mechanically updated in every possible way (really). We refurbished this bus to be a cross country traveler (we do 2-3 round trips to the West Coast each year). Lack of A/C and winter storage have convinced us to let it go. All the work below was done with German or nearest equivalent parts. Labor was done at Zakira's Garage, and Vogt VW (Brian Vogt) in Cincinnati. We addressed a couple small dents, but have cosmetically kept it as original as possible.
Heater and vents all work. Lights, blinkers work. Wipers front and rear work. Radio and 12V outlet on dash work. Rear fold down seat is not original. Previous owner did interior with sound barrier, insulation, birch paneling, and new carpet kit and swivel passenger seat. He also did the glass and runner seals all around.
The work below represents over $30,000, so please no low-ballers. This van is as ready as we could possibly make it for daily and distance travel. We may have it in San Diego by the Fall, possibly Spring, so mileage will increase, and it may be closer to you in any event.
