LHD T2B 1974 ex-German ambulance €25000
Completely dismantled and stored in a garage for 15 years by the previous owner. Purchased in 2014 from VWvakrestauratie in Groesbeek, Netherlands. Reassembled, practically every nut, bolt and rubber replaced professionally by VWvakrestauratie. Underbody sealed, hollow cavities treated with cavity wax, and bodywork repaired where necessary. Always parked in a garage.
Reconditioned 1800cc engine with 32,000 km under its belt on purchase (56,701 km on clock). Current status (September 2025): 91,000 on clock. Engine has now done around 64,000 km.

2024: fitted with LPG, engine and gearbox partially reconditioned. Runs excellently on both LPG and petrol.

Seats in reasonable condition. Small repair required on outside seam of driver's seat. Padding needs to be replaced.
Dashboard and instruments in perfect working order. Retro radio/CD player with USB. Dual core (stereo) speaker. New mats under the seats. Floor solid. No headliner.
Rear:
- Panels renewed in plywood and painted in original colour. Panels in baggage space original.
- Rock and roll bench bed with three lap belts
Exterior:
Very little rust, spots here and there. Roof gutter and sills almost perfect. Largely original paintwork. Front and rear left corner resprayed in original colour (L567 Ivory. RAL 1014). 50 years of wear and tear (including a sizeable dent in rear right corner).
This is a very solid van and it drives like a dream. I'm selling it with a heavy heart because it needs a bit more time and money to make it perfect and I no longer have either. So time for someone else to give it the finishing touches. The simple interior makes it perfect for conversion into a camper, food truck or mobile office. I'm only selling it to someone who will use it and take care of it.
