Hi selling our 85 Doka:
Body is in great shape as you can see in the images.
The seller we bought it from recently said the engine was rebuilt 30,000km ago.
Odometer says ~74,000 km (but since it is a 5 pin odometer, that probably means 174,000).
Full transparency: we purchased this doka in Quebec, Canada, drove it home to Alberta. Once we got home and went to register it we found out that there are few things wrong that will need repair to meet the stringent out-of-province inspection requirements. While I am happy to tinker with things, I do not want a hobby car (I have other hobbies).
The main issues include engine oil and transmission leaks, old drive belts, needs new rear shocks, and the shifter bushings and assembly needs new parts.
There is minimal rust on this vehicle (see photos). If you are serious about buying, I will provide you a copy of the whole inspection report and you can decide. I also have the carfax report I can provide. Finally, it is a "federalized" VW, originally sold in Canada - I can send a picture of the sticker on the door jam if you like.
Oh! also, we put brand new tires on it for the cross country trip.
