As I live in Mexico I have access to all the special Mexican Spec cars they made. If this one isn't for you I can find you one you will love.

Here we have a 1978 Mexican Spec Volkswagen Hormiga. This was the only vehicle ever built only for the Mexican Market.
Only 3,600 of these were built over 2 years.
Under the cab is a 1600 cc 4 cylinder engine mated to a 4 speed manual transmission powering the front wheels.
This one is in nice condition. Keep in mind these were made to work, and work they did.
People are restoring every one they can find because so few were made.
The brakes used were from a Volkswagen Rabbit of the same year.
Volkswagen sold this as a cab and chassis and people built them into what they needed.
I have seen flat beds like this one, and a few campers and even a food truck.

I have included a picture of a green one I am delivering to a client soon.
We have been going through it making sure it runs and drives well and replacing some Hormiga only parts.
This one still needs a bit of work. For example I don't see a left window there. it is a flat piece of glass so it is easily replaced.

The vehicle delivered to the Nogales border will be $14,530 dollars.
This includes professional transport from southern Mexico to my location then I will trailer it the rest of the way..
