1982 Vanagon Westy   Price: $14500
I have no idea what is going on with the pictures. I will redo the loading of them tomorrow, but at least the mediocre phota of the engine came through!

2.0 air cooled, well maintained Westy ready for adventures. This van has taken me to Baja and other adventures, with and without my family, so many times. I am torn selling Blucita, but I simply need to simplify as I age. Full rebuild by Miles and crew at No Name Garage 2 years ago (about 7,000 miles)

Mileage is tricky, it had a new speedo installed just before I bought it locally and the PO stated it had about 104,000 miles (2016), but the speedo had 120,000ish. This fit with the repair records, along with a slew of catch up maintenance (original clutch etc.) on a vehicle of this age with low miles. I've done all of those "little" things and now the mileage is 240,210. This will change as I am still driving the van until I find a good home for it.

Upgrades and recent care include:
Go Westy solar input box, renogy self heating LiFePo battery and Victron MPPT controller, Sunpower flexible 110w panel with 25' cable (fits under back cushion perfectly)
TF49 Truckfridge (ice cubes while traveling!)
Propex HS2000 heater (this thing is magical that hour before bed and the hour when you first wake up!)
Suspension rebuild and upgraded with Schwenk springs, Powerflex bushings throughout, Tie rod and steering rack, ball joints and Bilstein XHD shocks. (Now has about 10" clearance, without being lifted).
Upgraded FI wiring harness
Instrument panel cellophane replaced with new wiring harness
All new German window rubber
Nokian 14" street tires on powder coated black wheels, with General Grabbers mounted on the original wheels. Less than 5000 miles on both
Transmission oil cooler added to engine oil cooling system
Marmoleum flooring in camper, stove and water tank/pump all work great. I have loved my traveling kitchen! Traffic jam? Pull over and have a fine meal.
CHT/Tach/oil pressure gauges all installed and working
Bravo classic leather tool holder
Side door on the back closet
Alpine stereo (with manual shutoff for storage) with newer speakers, 6" in bench seat (built boxes around them)
Upgraded side mirror mounts - No floppy originals!
Hella H4 headlights (and a new headlight harness for even more brightness I never got around to installing)
New battery and transmission grounds in 2020
Stow and Go leather seats
Screens all around
Bus Depot awning and back add-a-room
Both tables
Van Cafe back table adjuster (gives you more choices for positioning, and access to the hatches underneath)
Almost new Wasser Stopper from Go Westy (Rain fly for over the pop top and luggage carrier)
Vanaroo and slideroo installed, insulated reflective /batik magnetic curtains in vanaroo

I'll stop and let the pictures speak...

Recent work:
New (rebuilt) distributer and air flow meter, plugs at same time
All fuel lines replaced (including grommet at firewall and fuel injectors)
Injectors went to the spa at Mr Injector in Idaho last winter
Transmission oil change, and always changed engine oil at 3,000 miles or less
Rebuilt CV joints and replaced boots
Replaced heater blower motor, all the windshield washer spaghetti tubing, sprayers, and all grounds cleaned and checked when I had the dash off
Plenty more, these are highlights that should last a minute

Rough spots -
Underside of pop top could be reflocked in places (I cleaned it too enthusiastically a few years back)
Tent has some patches from a couple windy campsites over the years (I've been hoping to put a hightop on for years, so I didn't mind, but maybe you will?)
I never had the heart to replace the original seat foam or curtains beyond the back which are now light blocking blue velvet. (the originals had holes from years in the sun. I still have those) The seat and back cushion covers, as well as the upper bunk covers, are all in very good condition. I have kept them covered anytime my pup is in the van, or when this baby is hauling anything.
I would go through and re do all the connections at the front fuse box this winter, simply because Blucita is 43. No current problems, but it's nice to stay ahead of issues.

The van has been covered while I owned it, and I use and heat it regularly. It's ready for all the travels!
