Original condition solid camper, weekender, with upgrades and 10 y/o 1.9 NA Diesel engine conversion. Mechanically very good condition; needs cosmetic/minor body restoration. Interior panels,bed,loft bed were removed to access body repairs needed for typical rust. All parts are in van.
Starts, runs, drives, brakes very well, no issues; OK for a long trip home. Recent work: new windshield/gasket install with paint/rust repair to frame. New engine timing belt and tensioner, alternator drive belt, air filter, fuel filter all new. Previous new parts and upgrades over 10 years ownership by VW mechanic: new fuel tank and hoses, Jetta diesel fuel water separator added to fuel delivery line, VW 1.9 NA code 1Y diesel engine approx. 120k on engine. New 3rd and 4th (0.70) overdrive gearsets and 3/4 hub/slider in original 4 speed 091 trans. New radiator. VW South Africa 15" alloy wheelset and bigger vented brakes/calipers up front.
